ATP and WTA Tournament 2014 – Results Round 1

Today is the day before the new year celebration, all tennis players have completed most of the first half in various tournaments this week. WTA Tournament has entered the second round. World’s top players like Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka will be playing today after they got bye in 1st round. Yesterday Maria Sharapova has done her first match after suffering an injury with successfully. While the Match will be more interesting for Serena will play with Andrea Petkovic in 2nd round. Andrea is promising to provide strict opposition to Serena. While Maria Sharapova and Victoria Azarenka will play with host player, Casey and Asleigh. The Veteran Venus Williams also won her 1st round in Auckland. Hope this tournament will bring her to top her performance before Austalia Open next week.

Meanwhile in ATP Tournament, the biggest shock to begin the new season is Tomas Berdych lost to  Ivo Karlovic in 1st round Qatar Open. Still waiting for the other match to finish the first half such as Rafael Nadal, David Ferrer, Andy Murray and defending champion Richard Gasquet. Fernando Verdasco and former top 10 Gael Monfils managed to advance to the second round. In Brisbane ATP tournament, seeded players will play  their second round matches today. While yesterday, last year runner-up Grigor Dimitrov managed to advance to the second round.

ATP and WTA Tournaments 2014 – Drawing

Season 2014 has begun. ATP and WTA opener tournament has started out in the season 2014. Some of the world’s top players both ATP and WTA have stated to take part in this tournament. Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka will play in Brisbane. Meanwhile, Li Na will play in her hometown in China. And also we glad to welcome another former world top 10 player form Russia, Vera Zvonareva that take part in China tournament. Former world Number 1 Venus Williams, take part in WTA Tournament Auckland, New Zealand.

 In the ATP tournament, Top 10 Men’s tennis player such as Rafael Nadal, David Ferrer, Andy Murray, Tomas Berdych and Richard Gasquet take part in Doha, Qatar. Meanwhile Roger Federer and Gilles Simon chose to compete in Brisbane. And represents other top 10, Stanislas Wawrinka start the 2014 season playing in India.  For all players, these tournaments are just for warm up before competing in the first Grand Slam of 2014 at the Australian Open.
